On April 20th, Zakk Wylde and his band, Black Label Society, release their fifth studio album, "Hangover Music Vol. VI", through Spitfire Records. The New Jersey born singer/song writer/guitarist formed BLS in 1998 while maintaining his role as Ozzy Osbourne's lead guitarist.

You know Robbie Cooper. Not just from his days on A&M Records when he was writing and singing with the band 7 Minutes (in which he recorded with the session players Muscle Shoals, from Muscle Shoals, Alabama). But vocally, he'll remind you of Phil Collins (that way of always having a distorting source between voice and the microphone), and vocally And musically, there are definite traces of Peter Gabriel here. Which explains why he was a founding member of Over the Garden Wall, a Genesis- tribute band in Toronto which had long-term success with that progressive rock sound.
Financial Management for Musicians' Author Offers Tax Tips (Part I)
The Songwriters Guild of America Nashville Office recently hosted a tax and accounting seminar with Certified Public Accountant Cathy McCormack of Nashville, TN. Cathy McCormack is co-author of the book, "Financial Management for Musicians," (Hal Leonard) by Pam Gaines and Cathy McCormack. Many of McCormack's clients are musicians and songwriters. "Financial Management For Musicians" is the title of the book, but she says it is really more about organizing your financial life for what she calls this business of music.
